The Demo is out!

So, the demo of The game is officially out!

It’s hard to put into words what I’m feeling right now. All this work I’ve put into this project is now out in the world. It’s exciting and terrifying at the same time.

I read a quote (I’ve forgotten the exact wording) that a writer who never releases their book lives in a world of “if only”. If only they had more spare time they would write the next great thing, if only they didn’t need to clean the backyard, if only they didn’t need to finish this chore or that chore. They live in this world because it's comforting. There is no criticism or doubt in the world of “if only.” No need to acknowledge their shortcomings or rise to the challenge of making something. In their mind, the perfect future is only one obstacle away. And since leaving that comfort is terrifying, they never release anything. They would rather live in the world of “if only.” 

I hope that by releasing this demo and getting whatever feedback that comes from it, I’ve stepped out of that world. That at the very least I made something and put it out there.
